OUR IMPACT.
We Are One Foundation creates free, sensory‑friendly events across Northeast Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia region that empower autistic individuals, neurodivergent community members and people with disabilities to thrive. By removing financial, sensory and social barriers, we bring together participants, families and caregivers for experiences that spark joy, build confidence and strengthen connections—all made possible by our volunteers, partners and donors.
Events
Our calendar features a diverse lineup—from the Very Special Halloween Dance and Polar Express Movie with Santa to arts and crafts workshops and Zumba and interactive music sessions. Seasonal highlights like the Christmas Angel Tree for Children in Need and our Aloha Dance complement year‑round favorites, including the summer movie series, sensory‑friendly Chuck E. Cheese mornings and our signature adaptive kickball tournament. Each gathering serves hundreds of attendees in a safe, welcoming space tailored to every ability.
Fundraising
Behind the scenes, community‑driven fundraisers fuel our growth. The Eagles Jersey Auction and corporate sponsorships for the kickball tournament, alongside contributions from local businesses and personal donors, generate the resources we need. Supported by more than 40+ dedicated volunteers, these efforts expand program access, fund new initiatives and deepen partnerships throughout NEPA and Philadelphia.
Conclusion
Together, we’re elevating emotional well‑being, promoting physical health and cultivating lasting friendships within the special needs community. Every auction bid, sponsorship, volunteer hour and shared experience advances our vision of a more inclusive world—one unforgettable event at a time.

The Importance of Inclusive Events.
We Are One focuses on inclusive events because they reflect the true diversity of the world around us. These events create joyful, uplifting spaces where people of all abilities and backgrounds come together, connect, and celebrate—free of cost. They help foster kindness and respect in schools, workplaces, and communities, not just supporting those with special needs, but enriching everyone by building a culture where differences are valued and no one is left behind.

Promotes belonging
and dignity.
Inclusive events affirm that everyone—regardless of ability, age, or background—deserves to be part of the community. This helps combat isolation, builds confidence, and reinforces the inherent value of every individual.

Supports Mental and Emotional Wellbeing
Participation in community events improves emotional health. For people with special needs or their families, inclusion can reduce feelings of stress, loneliness, or stigma. It also provides a space for joy, celebration, and shared experiences.

Builds Empathy
and Understanding
When people of different abilities and ages engage together, it breaks down stereotypes and builds empathy. It helps neurotypical and able-bodied individuals recognize the challenges others face and appreciate their strengths.

Encourages Equal Access
& Opportunity
Inclusive events are a practical demonstration of accessibility and equality. They challenge social and physical barriers, promoting fair opportunities for learning, socializing, and enjoyment.

Strengthens Families
and Care Networks
Families with special needs members often face additional challenges. Inclusive spaces provide a break from daily stresses, allow connection with others in similar situations, and help build supportive networks.

Fosters Lifelong
Learning and Growth
Children and adults learn social skills, collaboration, and adaptability in diverse environments. Inclusive events teach young people early that differences are not deficits—and that everyone has something to contribute.
